Elaine R. "Nickie" Crook, age 58, of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. She was born on July 22, 1961 to William "Bill" Nickell and Patricia (Lamarand) Mayo in Toledo. She graduated from Whitmer High School and Georgia Tech. Nickie started "Ladies Catch of the Day" fish fry at the VFW in Point Place. She was skilled and talented at trade work including high rise window washing and plumbing. Nickie loved camping, traveling, holiday crafts and cruising on the Harley with her husband, Danny. She was a hard working and independent woman who loved her family and dear friends, she will be greatly missed by many.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Danny Crook; father, Bill Nickell; many cousins, aunts, uncles, and many dear friends in the Whitmer area. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pat Mayo; step-father, Donald Mayo, Sr.; sister, Yvonne Nickell and furry friends, Zee and Jake.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 2-6:00 p.m. at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with her Funeral Service starting at 6:00 p.m.

In Nickie's memory, Memorial Contributions may be made to Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation.
