Joan Glover, age 88, of Toledo, passed away Monday, August 19, 2019 at home surrounded by loving family. She was born on January 5, 1931 to Edward and Edna (Sperry) Brand in Toledo. Joan was a homemaker throughout her life raising 11 children. She was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and Kansas City Chiefs. Joan enjoyed gardening and beautiful flowers, watching her soap operas, and Lifetime movies. She loved Elvis, dogs and was an avid collector. Joan collected many things, some being dolls and beanie babies. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Glover, Sr.; sons, Douglas and Timothy Glover; grandson, Richard Garcia; and sisters, Carol Huddleston and Barbara Brand.

Joan is survived by her loving children, Donald Glover, Jr.; Debbie (Wally) Navarre, Rick (Darlene) Glover, Cheryl (Raymond) Garcia, Dave Glover, Diane Rajner, Robert Glover, J. Scott (Kim) Glover and Lisa Allen; 22 grandchildren; 20+ great-grandchildren; and many other family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 10 – 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer – Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900) with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
