James A. “Jim” Blankenship, age 56, of Oregon, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at home. He was born September 11, 1961 to Luther and Sue (Wheeler) Blankenship in Toledo. Jim was a graduate of Northwood High School in 1979. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Jim enjoyed working on cars, he loved the outdoors, riding motorcycles, camping, watching NASCAR and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Greg, Cindy and Luther Jr.; and special friend, Carol Ayers. Jim is survived by his sons, Greg (Jessica) and James (Mandi) Blankenship; and their mother, Nancy Blankenship; grandchildren, Hayden, Jase, EJ, and Lilly; sisters, Sue (Steve) LaGrange and Lee Blankenship; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 2 – 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
