1936 - 2023

James F. Wahl, Sr. age 86, of Holland, OH passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Arbors at Sylvania. He was born on June 18, 1936 to Frederick Wahl and Ida Wahl-Cross in Toledo. Jim worked for Gladieux for many years before retiring. He and his wife, Nancy owned and operated New Judy’s Restaurant and Jim’s Truck Stop from 1973 until they closed. Jim was an avid baseball fan, especially of the Toledo Mud Hens and the Cleveland Indians. He also loved The Ohio State Buckeyes. He liked spending time with his grandchildren. Jim was a caring and loving father and grandfather. He loved to cook especially known for his bread pudding, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Wahl; brother, Edward Wahl, Sr. and several nieces and nephews. Jim is survived by his children, James Wahl, Jr., Robert (Janice) Wahl, and Tammy Currier; sister-in-law, Barb (Norm) Myslinski; grandchildren, Tony Currier, Lee (Julie), and Richard (Simona); great-grandchildren, Jake, Nicholas, Justin, Reid, and Jeffrey; nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family wishes to thank the attentive staff at Arbors at Sylvania who cared for Dad.

Graveside Services will be private at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
