Annemarie (Hari) Marksbury

Where to begin? If you were a friend of Annemarie's, you had a friend for life! Annemarie worked in the Sylvania community for 30 years as a pharmacist for Rite Aid. She was always going the extra mile for all her customers whether it was finding the best prices for their medications or taking time to answer all their questions. That was Annemarie. She excelled at her job as a pharmacist and her career brought her great joy. She cherished the special bonds that she had with her customers and they meant the world to her. Not many people in service provision could develop lasting friendships with their customers, but Annemarie did.

Her free time was split between her favorite things - one being her cherished cute, little 4-legged kitty cats. Annemarie's cats meant so much to her. There was good ole' Betsy and Phoebe, along with Simon, Cody, Zane and most recently Gracie, the Calico. She had a heart the size of the moon when it came to her cats. Annemarie was a regular donor to local cat shelters with Paws and Whiskers being one of her favorites.

The other favorite thing for Annemarie was her love of cooking. Her culinary genius came out in so many dishes and one of those was her making the best possible cheesecake. That dessert would probably put Duff Goldman to shame. Annemarie found great joy in cooking for friends and sending them home with great amounts of leftovers. That was her, giving and doing for others. Even if you were just popping in to say "hi", she would whip up a 3-course meal in record time. Yes, Annemarie was one AMAZING woman, giving of herself and loving those whose lives she touched. She thoroughly enjoyed seeing others happy and would often connect one friend with another. Friends became friends of each other through Annemarie. She was the TIE THAT BOUND others together.

It is with terribly heavy hearts that we say that wonderful lover of people, giver of herself, cat Mom, eternal friend, diligent worker, brilliant mind, beautiful smiler, impeccable pharmacist, chef worthy of a Michelin star award has crossed over the rainbow bridge.

This little town of Sylvania will be missing one of the greatest and most loved women that it has seen in quite a long time. We all miss you so very much Annemarie.

A Celebration of Life Party honoring Annemarie will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Joseph Diehn American Legion Hall, 5580 Centennial Road, Sylvania, Ohio.

We will gather, share bites of food and beverages and most especially share stories about our great friend, Annemarie. We hope that you will join us in this celebration of Annemarie.

If interested in joining us at the celebration kindly RSVP to this email address ANNEMARIESPARTY@GMAIL.COM
This will help us greatly during the party planning process. Ensuring we have enough for all guests attending the event

Donations raised will fund the Celebration of Life for Annemarie.
Any remaining funds will be donated to her favorite non-profit in her honor, Paws and Whiskers.

Paws and Whiskers is a feline-only shelter that finds homes for all kitties and is a no-kill shelter. We have a limited time, around 4weeks, to collect donations for this event and the charity.

We look forward to seeing everyone!
