Teresa L. Curtis, age 64, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 27, 2021 at St. Charles Hospital. She was born on November 16, 1957 to Ronald and Nancy (Steen) Jakubiak in Toledo, Ohio. Teresa worked at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center where she retired from after many years. She was an excellent artist, loved cooking, fishing and being outdoors. She enjoyed listening to music and watching movies in her spare time. Teresa liked to shoot pool, play board games and cards with friends. Her greatest passion was her family. Teresa loved spending time with all of them, especially her nieces and nephews who all were like children to her. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Curtis; brother, Jimmy Jakubiak; and brother-in-law, James Ringle. Left to cherish Teresa’s memory are her loving siblings, Cathy (Jack) Brown, Mary (Al) Jakubiak, Angela (Bill) Baldwin and Deanna (Nick) Ringle; nieces and nephews, Jessica Rodriguez, Matt Jakubiak, Robert Brown, Erin Orth, Nick (Marie) Orth, Hannah (Jason) Ringle, Jacob (Liz) Jakubiak, and Billy Baldwin; many great-nieces and great-nephews especially, Kaden, Ash, Arya, Ripley, Owen and Olivia; aunt, Andrea Wellman; and many dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, December 9, 2021 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
