Christine Diane Egleston, age 74, of Liberty Center, passed away October 15, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Christine was born November 6, 1946, in Lansing to George R Hawes and Jean L (Billings) Seydel.
Chris was an exceptionally warm and loving person with a propensity for helping others, never asking anything in return. Chris expressed a great love for family, nature, and animals. She enjoyed the serenity of country living and was a generous philanthropist to many charities. She was a graduate of UT and a devoted employee with Impact Products for over 25 years.
Christine was preceded in death by her loving mother, Jean L (Billings) Seydel.
She is loved and cherished by many, survived by her loving husband, Gary Switzer; dear mother to Linda (Michael) Duell, Michael (Giovanna) Egleston, and Lisa (Don) Richey; loving daughter of, George R (Margaret) Hawes, grandmother to Jake, Mackenzie, Stefano, Gianluca, Jonathan, Verlee, Ben, Jason, and Tommy; siblings, Mike Hawes, Chuck Hawes, and Jim (Sharon) Hawes; sister-in-law to Judy (Mike) Kurdzel and a loving Aunt to many.
Memorial services will take place, December 19, 2021, at Nazareth Hall, 21211 W River Rd, Grand Rapids, OH, from 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm.
Memorial contributions may be donated in lieu of flowers to some of her favorite charities; Doctors Without Borders, ASPCA, Animal House Rescue in Swanton, Shriners Hospital for Children, Audubon Society in Ohio, and the Humane Society.
