David James “Monk” Wismer, age 69, of Toledo, OH passed away October 24, 2021 at home. David was born April 13, 1952 in Toledo, OH to Nelson and Genevieve Wismer. He was employed with the Todd Alspaugh and Associates for 38 years. David met the love of his life Dianna Brandon in 1977 and they joined in holy matrimony in 1979. His greatest love was his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had a love for fishing, hunting and teaching the craft to his nephews.

In addition to his parents, David was also preceded in death by his Children, Cristel and Ambria Wismer. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Dianna Wismer; Daughter, Angelina Wismer; Son, William Wismer; Grandchildren, Kierstyn (Alexander) Walker, Skyelar J. Lather, Makala Wismer, William Wismer, II and Alli (Harvey) Mungia; Great-Grandchilden, James (JJ) Walker, Roman Hendrick, Elli Mungia; Siblings, Sandra (David) Schmidt, Danny (Tillie) Wismer, and Robert (Daro) Wismer. Mother-In-Law, Corrine Amstutz-Holycross and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family will receive guests Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Sunday at 12:00 pm. at the funeral home.
