Nicholas Gochenour, age 28, of Toledo, Ohio, gained his wings, on Friday, October 15, 2021. He was born on August 30, 1993, in Toledo, Ohio, to David and Diane (Dreyer) Gochenour.

Nick loved playing baseball and football growing up. He and his mom loved watching the Steelers. He loved spending time with his family; he was very close with his papas. He was very close with his mom; they shared a special bond together. Nick enjoyed playing cards, especially poker. He was a great guy, who would do anything for anybody; he wore his heart on his sleeve. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his mother, Diane Gochenour (Michael); father, David Gochenour; sisters, Samantha Gochenour and Christina (Angelo) Gochenour; nieces, Kenzie, Danielle, Cecelia, and Jordan; maternal grandmother, Heddie Dreyer; papa, Dale Gochenour; special aunts and uncles, Sheryl (Michael) Gochenour and Daria (William) Dreyer, and Lisa (John) Glanz; special cousin, Korey Gochenour; and numerous cousins, and other loved ones.

Nick was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Dreyer; and paternal grandmother, Cathy Gochenour.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, at 4:00 pm. Visitation will follow the funeral service until 7:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nick’s family, to help cover funeral expenses.
