Jerry married Gloria J. (Head) Henneman and together they raised five children, Dan, Peg, Ken, Jeff and Trisha. Gloria preceded him in death on April 5, 2005.
Jerry worked at LaSalle’s for 25 years and then as a truck driver for several years before retiring.
Jerry enjoyed bowling, the weekly Pinochle games as well as his penny poker card games. He loved fishing and especially loved eating them. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers and The Ohio State Buckeyes and watched their games often.
Jerry is survived by his loving family, children, Daniel (Shannon) Henneman, Peggy Matney, Kenneth (Anna) Henneman, Jeffrey (tami) Henneman and Trisha (Tony) Zajac, 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and siblings, John, Tom, Donna and Emil.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Gloria, great grandson, Jay and siblings, Bob, Joe, Ron, Mary, Larry and Jim.
The family will receive guests, Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo and Friday, September 24, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. where Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, 4201 West Central Ave., Toledo.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Daniel Henneman. The family will do a celebration of life at a later date.
