Irene S. Shough, age 83, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 1, 1938, in Beech Grove, Arkansas, to the late Charlie and Myrtle (Morrow) Watson.

Irene worked for General Motors, where she retired after 40 years. She was a member of the UAW and First Church of the Nazarene in Adrian, Michigan. Known as a “fabulous lady” by her family, she enjoyed playing games, such as, Dominos, Rook, Rummy, and puzzles. Irene enjoyed watching sports, especially the Detroit Tigers. She also like gardening and cooking; she was always in the kitchen baking or cooking something delicious. She was definitely one that played pranks and jokes on everyone. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her four children, Randy South, Melanie (Terry) Brooks, Lanny South, and Stephanie (Marko) Skukan; three grandchildren, TJ Brooks, Tiffany Ryans, and Sophia Skukan; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Verna Jetton, Sharon Kay Somers, and Janie Crawford; a brother, Joe Watson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her great grandson, Rocky Ryans; her brothers, Frank Watson, Glenn Watson, and Bobby Watson; sisters, Erma Erikson, Lela Warner, Anne Cox, and Louise Gramling.

Family and friends may join the family for a celebration of life, for Irene, on Friday, June 18, 2021, at 11:00 am, at First Church of the Nazarene, 50 Industrial Dr, Adrian, MI 49221.
