Al “Nick” Miller, age 84, of Toledo, OH, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Ebeid Hospice Residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 20, 1936 to Lloyd and Oshie Miller in Nortonville, Kentucky. Nick was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving his country proudly. After serving in the Navy he moved to Toledo where he met his wife Yvonne (Welty) Miller and then graduated from the University of Toledo, College of Business. Nick became a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch. Later he brought his daughter, Pamela Miller into the business. Before retiring from Merrill Lynch Nick went into the real estate business with his son, Alan Miller. His greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his family. Nick was proud he was able to work side by side with both his son and daughter while he learned about their professions.

In his spare time, Nick was an avid archer at the Adams Conservation Club, and followed financial markets closely. He was also an active member of the Heritage Church of God. Nick loved nothing more than spending time with his family, and grandchildren. His smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish Nick’s memory are his loving wife of 61 years, Yvonne; his two children, Pamela (Phil Stankey) Miller and Alan (Jennifer) Miller; grandchildren, Dustin, August and Laurel; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 9 brothers and 1 sister.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd., Toledo (419-392-9500) with Funeral Services beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
