Evelyn M. Bembenek, age 90, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 6, 2021 at home. She was born on May 15, 1931 to Paul and Josephine Peth in Toledo. Evelyn worked for many years in the banking business in bookkeeping, but most recently Gerlinger Equipment where she retired from. She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts and scrapbooking. Evelyn loved animals, especially dogs. She never met a stranger, making new friends anywhere she went. Evelyn liked spending time with her family most importantly her grand-daughter and great-grandsons. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Bembenek; and son, Paul Bembenek. Left to cherish Evelyn’s memory are her loving daughter, Arlene Susdorf; granddaughter, Christi Teets; great-grandsons, Evan and Ethan Teets; and many dear friends.

Visitation and Services for Evelyn will be private. Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, Toledo (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
