Bill's vibrant life ended peacefully Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the age of 97 after spending his last 6 years at Rosary Care Center, Sylvania. He was born November 2, 1923 to Samuel (Gugliotta) Gordon and Daisy May (Marie) Stoner of East Toledo.

Bill attended Devilbiss High School graduating in 1940. He proudly joined the Army Air Corps in 1942 and fought in WWII in North Africa, Italy and Austria. Returning home he met his wife Joan Eckart at Toledo Jeep and they married in 1955. Together they had three children.

Bill worked in Pharmaceutical Sales and as a home builder with his father, Sam and brother, Don. He later worked for his brother, Richard "Jocko" as his warehouse manager until retiring in 1988. Bill owned Pool's Tavern at Lewis and Eleanor for many years. He enjoyed college Sports, cars, politics, storytelling and coffee with friends. As lifelong Toledoans, Bill and his younger brothers had many friends in the Toledo area. He was also active in Alcoholics Anonymous for over 40 years.

Bill is survived by his children, Kristie (Susan Propkop) of New York City, Steven Gordon of Toledo and Danette Gordon of Lakeland, Florida; brother-in-law, Reverend Frank Eckart; 3 grandsons and 1 great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his two younger brothers.

There will be a private graveside service at Toledo Memorial Park at a later date.
