Theresa Lynn Bain, age 68, of West Toledo, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Flower Hospital. She was born on November 7, 1952 to Paul and Marge Nagy in Toledo, OH. Theresa attended St. Catherine of Siena grade school and graduated from Whitney Vocational High School. Ever the loving caretaker she began her career in the medical field over 40 years ago. Theresa started working at West Central Medical Group as a Licensed Practical Nurse, advancing into Mercy Healthcare Endoscopy Center and completing her career at Mercy St. Charles Hospital in the coding department. Theresa’s talents were many as she was an accomplished seamstress, baker, and cook. She looked forward to her annual trips up North with her dearest girlfriends, Mary, Patti and Susie. Theresa took delight in antiquing where she could often be seen at the Erie Street Market. She collected and refinished furniture as well, but her greatest passion was working in her picturesque garden. Theresa instinctively stepped into the role of the loving matriarch, after the passing of her mother. She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and caring friend to so many. Her grandchildren meant the world to her. Theresa was creative, selfless, vibrant and full of energy. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed and live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her. Theresa was one of a kind and had the “heart of a saint”.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Carol Sue Nagy; brother, James Nagy; daughter, Ashley Bain. Left to cherish Theresa’s memory are her loving husband of 43 years, Patrick Bain; son, Alan Bain; daughter, Andrea (Steve) Bain-Frye; grandson, Adrien Patrick; granddaughters, Macy Lynn and Easton Avrie; siblings, Paul Nagy, Mary (Tim) Gerken, and Tom Nagy; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services and Interment will be Private. She will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery. (For the safety of the Bain family and their guests, masks are required with social distancing).
