1947 - 2021

Lestella May Hites "Stella", 74, of Holland, passed away April 25, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital. Stella was born January 24, 1947 in Toledo to John and Viola (Wheating) Clingenpeel.

She retired from Ridgewood Manor after working as a laundry aid there for 25 years. In Stella's free time she enjoyed crocheting, bingo and Yatzee. Most of all she treasured the time she spent with her family and the memories she made with her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Amy Parsons, Linda (Keith) Houghteling, William (Rebecca)Hites, Jr.; sister, Kathy Yates; brother, Glenn (Mary) Clingenpeel; grandchildren, Victoria (Daniel) Moran, William (Gabrielle) Hites III, Robert (Jessica) Hites, Kristin (Robert) Schragg III, Kyle Hites, Gladys Hites, Gregory Greulich, Allen Hites, Terry (Taylor) Greulich, Danielle Parsons & Kevin Wick Jr., Jason (Tracy) Badenhop, Kari (Cliff Jr.) Badenhop-Clingenpeel, and Christy Wright; 22 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Stella was preceded in death by her parents, John and Viola Clingenpeel; sisters, Joyce Wilkes and Mary Millhone; son-in-law, Kenneth Dale Parsons; granddaughter, Rissa Hites; and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive guests Friday, April 30, 2021 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 12 p.m. at the funeral home where there will be an additional hour of visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Stella's memory.
