Patricia A. “Patti” Gowing, age 55, of Toledo, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital with loving family by her side. She was born on October 3, 1965 to Roger and Carol (Watters) Gowing in Toledo. Patti attended Libbey High School. She worked at JCPenney for a few years. Patti had a passion for Marilyn Monroe. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, loved music of all kinds and animals, especially her dog, Nook. Patti looked forward to spending time with her friends and family most of all. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Joseph Gowing; niece, Taylor L. Worley; and step-father, James Shipp. Left to cherish Patti’s memory are her mother, Carol Shipp; son, Robert James Camara; siblings, Roger Gowing, Sheila Gowing and Joseph Littleton; nephew, Brandon Worley; life partner of many years, Quintin Lavelle; lifelong friend, Ray Humbarger; many other extended family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 2 – 6:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. (For the safety of the Gowing family and their guests, masks are required with social distancing).

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider ASPCA or the American Heart Association.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff and caregivers at Mercy St. Vincent’s Hospital Heart Center, especially nurse Tiffany and Chaplain Eric for all of their love, care and support given to Patti and our family through this difficult time.
