In Memory Of
Ellen Marie (Leyman) Palmer
1964 - 2021
Ellen loved crafting, decorating for holidays, searching through thrift stores and garage sales, singing around the campfire, playing board games on family game night, puzzles, cartoons, and all things dogs. She always gave the most thoughtful gifts to her friends and family and had a great eye for photography. Her pictures are awesome.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Leyman. She is survived by her children, Mitchell Palmer and Katie Palmer (Jimmy Annarino); mother, Katie Leyman; brother, Gary Leyman; sisters, Kathy Leyman, Mary Anne (Joseph) Zielinski; nieces, Nicolle and Kara; and fur babies Sunny and Mango; along with a band of cousins; aunts; uncles; and many friends.
In the words of a co-worker, “Read a book. Get caught reading. She would love it.” Since Ellen was a reading teacher, please honor her memory by reading a book or helping your child learn to love books. Gone but not forgotten, she lives forever in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions in Ellen’s memory to the Lucas County Canine Care & Control 410 S Erie St, Toledo OH 43604, Humane Society of Monroe County, 833 N Telegraph Rd, Monroe MI 48162 or an animal shelter of your choice.
