In Memory Of
Beaulah "Jean" Allen
1935 - 2020

Beaulah “Jean” Allen, age 85, of Toledo, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving daughters. She was born on January 17, 1935 to Clell and Myrtle (Douglas) Warren in Liberty, Kentucky. Jean met and married the love of her life John Allen and they were married on October 11, 1951 and celebrated 64 years of marriage when he passed in 2015. They left Liberty, KY and relocated for a short period of time to Franklin, Indiana but settled in and started their family in Toledo. After John retired from GM in 1995, they relocated to Lake Helen, FL in the fall of the following year in 1996. One of her favorite pastimes was spending days on the beach with her family. After her husband’s passing she moved back to Toledo in 2018.

Jean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was a devoted Christian and one of her greatest joys was playing the piano. Jean enjoyed music, gardening, cooking, quilting and riding on the back of her husband John’s Harley. Some of Jean and John’s favorite pastimes were traveling throughout the U.S. on the open road with their Harley, often camping along the way. One of their furthest and most special travels was abroad to Germany.

Those who came in contact with Jean thought she was the sweetest, cutest little thing there ever was! Her smile, spirit and caring nature will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Allen; daughter, Judy Allen; granddaughter, Kendra Wilson; and grandson, Sy Lucio; and 3 siblings. Jean is survived by her loving daughters, Deborah (Fred) Panasci, Kathy (Scott) Reusch, Vickie (Jay) Lucio; grandchildren, Tim, Lahoma, Tenelle, Jay-J, Terry, Vanessa, and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Kayla, Skylar, Lars, and Cole; great-great-grandchildren, Ryann, Logan, and Ayden; sisters-in-law, Mable Allen, Clara Allen and Violet Wilson; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Graveside Services will take place Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. for Jean and John at Springfield Township Cemetery. A Celebration of Life for Jean will then take place from 1 – 5:00 p.m. at Toledo Botanical Gardens, Crosby Conference Center Room, 5403 Elmer Dr., Toledo, OH 43615.
