Rudolph J. "Jim" Fountain, age 83, of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday morning, September 18, 2019 at SKLD in Point Place. He was born on October 13, 1935 to Herman John and Margaret (Livingston) Fountain in Toledo, Ohio.
Jim retired from John Mansville after 30 years of service where he was a fork lift operator. He loved his Detroit sports teams - the Detroit Tiger's and Detroit Lion's! He also enjoyed watching a good old Western movie in his spare time. Jim was a talented handy-man, he and a friend designed and built an addition onto their home and the garage from start to finish. He was a simple, hard working family man who provided for his family endlessly.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jenny (Dan) Bielak, Cindi Fountain and Steve Fountain; grandchildren, Tara (Timothy) Fry, Josh Fountain and Emily Smay; great-grandchildren, Quinten, Wyatt, Stella and Montgomery; sister, Phyllis Herbster and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jeanette A. Fountain; twin brother, Martin "Joe" Fountain and brother, Ray.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 2-6:00 p.m. at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300).
