Foster D. "Sonny" Orns
1931 - 2019

Foster "Sonny" Orns, age 87, of Toledo, passed away February 1, 2019 at Ebeid Hospice Residence. Foster was born September 26, 1931 in Toledo to Foster and Ruth Orns. After graduating from Macomber High School in 1948, he enlisted in the Marine Corp. and served during the Korean War. He was employed with Surface Combustion retiring in 1984. Foster was a follower of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and a member of Heritage Church of God. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, working on his cars and loved to be outdoors.

In addition to his parents, Foster was also preceded in death by his loving wife Virginia "Ginnie" and brother, Chuck Orns. He is survived by his children, Cindy (Larry) Hoel and Ron Orns; three grandchildren, Lucas (Jenny) Hoel, Kayla (Michael) Haynes and Lydia (Stephen) Roller and eight great grandchildren, Cailyn, Addison, Ellery, Averi, Emilee, Elijah, Aubriella and Emerson; sister, Sharon (Dick) Guest and sister-in-law, Peggy Orns.

The family will receive guests Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Newcomer - West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Road (419-392-9500). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 12:00 pm. at the funeral home followed by burial at Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ebeid Hospice in Foster's memory.
