In Memory Of
Joseph W. Kuehnl
1936 - 2019

After a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease, Joe peacefully passed into God’s arms on Saturday, January 12, 2019.

Joe had a distinguished career with The Toledo Trust Company (now KeyBank), finishing his service there as a Senior Vice President. He retired at age 45 from banking, and joined his brothers in the greater Detroit area in other business ventures.

Joe loved the water, both being in it and being by it. Joe enjoyed his homes in Toledo and in Ft. Myers, Florida, as well as his cottage on Lake Archer in Michigan. He also loved golf and tennis and played very often before his illness made playing impossible.

Joe was preceded in death by his loving and beautiful wife of over 60 years, Mary Jane Kuehnl. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Phyllis Kuehnl, and his brother, Thomas Kuehnl. Joe is survived by his brothers, David (Elaine) Kuehnl, Michael (Carol) Kuehnl and Glenn (Barbara) Kuehnl and his sisters, Barbara Parrish and Suzanne Kearns. Joe is also survived by his sister-in-law, Margaret Donahue and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation and a Memorial Service planned for a later date will be private.

Joe’s family would like to thank the staff of Kingston of Perrysburg – Memory Care Unit for their tender, kind and thoughtful care of Joe. We are grateful.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27
