Paula was an avid lover of horses. She owned her own horses amongst many other animals including rabbits, a goat, dogs, cats, and guinnea pigs. She worked throughout her life caring for horses in the horse stables of Roger Spiess and family and most recently at St. Eligius Equine Stables. She loved the outdoors, nature, the park, gardening, and everything about country living. She grew up running track and cross country and carried that love of running throughout her life. She collected antiques and really loved Victorian style architecture and interior design.
Bluegrass was her favorite music. She enjoyed spending time with her family playing euchre, singing, dancing, and playing the fiddle and banjo with her siblings and especially her grandpa, Frank Billmaier. Her sense of family ran deep. Her siblings were her best friends. When she wasn't working she spent her time with her children, siblings, and her horses. Her children were her life and she found an even deeper love when her grandchildren were born.
She is survived by her children: Emily J. (Tim) Goebel, Seth J. Kelley, Erin E. (Adam Golday) Kelley; mother, Rosemary Billmaier, siblings, Sheila M. (Michael) Santure, Dina L. (Rich) Gossett, Frank J. (Lisa) Billmaier, Wayne J. Billmaier, granddaughter, Scarlett R. Goebel, grandson, Mark W. Golday, step-granddaughter, Amelia Deleon, longtime companion and best friend, Aaron Logan and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, ex husband, Mark Kelley, grandparents, Frank and Leona Billmaier and Ruby and Pauline Rowe.
The family will receive guests Monday, January 21, 2019 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will begin Monday at 4:00 pm. at the funeral home.
