Mary A. Witter, age 85, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2019 at Franciscan Care Center - Sylvania, with her loving family by her side. She was born on July 29, 1933 to Frank and Edna (Wesche) Meek in Ridgeville Corners, Ohio.

Mary loved playing bingo, crocheting, traveling and spending many summers at the family cottage at Sand Beach, Oak Harbor. She was a devoted wife, mother and doting Grams for thirteen grandchildren and thirty-two great-grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mona (Glenn) Kurtz, Mark (Mary Ann) Kidd, Julie Barraclough (Jack Sweeney), Jari Tucker and Ronald Witter; beloved fur baby, Buddy and two cherished nieces, Judi and Beth. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Witter; brother, Dennis Meek; sister, Ruth Boyd and fur baby, Sandi.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300), with her Funeral Service starting at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

The family would like to deeply thank the Franciscan Care Center - Sylvania, nurses, aides and staff for their excellent care and love they showed to mom.

Donations may be made to the Franciscan Care Center or to Hospice of N.W.O.
