Joseph Douglas Smith, age 29, of Toledo, passed away December 1, 2018 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Joseph was born October 25, 1989 in Toledo to Tracey Smith and Tiaunna Lawson. Joseph loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them; he was a loving, father, son, brother and uncle. He enjoyed drawing and loved animals.

He is survived by his mother, Tiaunna Lawson, father, Tracey Smith, twin brother, Johnathon Smith, siblings Tiara (David West) Lawson, Larry Lawson, Taneka Lawson, Tamara Lawson, Shirley Lawson, Robert Lawson, Tracey Smith, Jr., Tyrone Smith, Tyeshia Smith, Travon Smith, Traurean Smith, daughter, Joceena Smith, grandparents, Larry and Shirley Bryson, Dolores Warren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive guests Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed burial at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Aurora House in Joseph's memory.
