He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Freightway Corp. after 26 years of service as a driver. Lou was a member and past-president of F.O.E. #197; member of F.O.E. #2322, Conn Weissenberger #587, Sylvania Moose Lodge #1579 and Teamsters Local 12. He had a passion for woodworking he was a Master Crafter. He loved displaying and selling his creations.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Ann Fritz-Swartz; children, Tammy (Chris) Ramirez, Teresa Long, Tim, Todd, Troy, Terry and Rodney Swartz; step-children, Dan Fritz and Beth Jones; many 19 precious grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-greatgrandchild; siblings, Mary Wilcolek, Joyce (Ken) Bowers and Lucy Herber.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, December 09,2018 from 11:00 a.m. ~ 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. with Services beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Conn Weissenberger Color Guard.
The family would like to give special thanks to Promedica Hospice and Promedica Caring Services.
