Georgia H. Gaynor, age 93, of Sylvania, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Flower Hospital. She was born on July 29, 1925 to George and Helen (Knight) Metzger. Georgia was a 1947 graduate of Cleveland College where she earned her Bachelor Degree. In her younger years she was a substitute teacher for Sylvania Schools. She was a member of Highland Meadows Golf Club, Eastern Star, the Rainbow Girls, Bridge Club, Quest Garden Club and Lake Park Auxiliary. Her family will remember her for being a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother and will forever cherish all the holidays that she hosted.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Gary (Chris) Gaynor and Dan (Linda) Gaynor; grandchildren, Kevin, Brady, Mitchell and Reece. Preceding her in death were her parents and husband of 40 years, Robert Gaynor.

The family will receive guests on Monday, November 19, 2018 from 5-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with her Funeral Service beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. Interment will follow Toledo Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
