In Memory Of
Generose F. "Gen" Curie
1940 - 2018

Generose F. Curie, age 77, passed away on October 31, 2018. She was born on November 11, 1940 to the late Generose and Linus Weisenbach in Hamilton, Ohio.

Gen’s family was committed to their faith and wanted her to have the best possible Catholic education. She attended Cincinnati Mercy High School which required an hour and 15 minute commute twice each day for four years on a Greyhound bus. Gen’s continued devotion to her faith became the guideline for her life. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Toledo. Gen committed her entire career to helping special needs children. She retired in 2005 from the Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities as an Early Intervention Specialist. Gen loved to be outdoors. Most days you could find her working in her yard, gardening and spending time with family and friends by the pool. Gen always ended her day with one of her precious cats on her lap.

Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of 40 years, Jack; children, Eileen (Bob) Beach, Dr. Brenda Brady, Patrick Brady and Jason (Brooke) Curie; siblings, Julie (Ralph) Klug, Anita (Keith) Bright and Denise Weisenbach; grandchildren, Camryn, Cole, Fiona, Logan and Hazel Curie. Gen was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Linus Jr. and ex-husband, Dr. Robert Brady.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Memorial Mass will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Parish, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to: American Heart Association and Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
