Lenna K. Raitz, age 83, of Sylvania, passed away September 8, 2018 at her home. She was born August 12, 1935 in Toledo to Charles and Marion (Cady) Fortress. Lenna was very active at Trilby United Methodist Church where she was a member and played the organ. She was very loving and caring, her world revolved around her family. Lenna was a foster parent for numerous kids whom she cared for deeply. She was employed with the Toledo Public Schools for more than 25 years.

Lenna is survived by her daughter, Shelley (Richard) Venus; son, Jeffrey (Valerie) Raitz; grandchildren, Nicholas Venus, David (Katelin) Venus, Jacob (Kaitlin) Raitz, Jonathon Raitz, Justin Raitz, Caitlyn (Wesley) Moll, Benjamin Raitz, James (Millie) Venus, Michael Venus and Amanda Thompson; great-grandchildren, Zella Rucki, Grayson Moll, Tyler Cash, Dyllan Thompson, Zachary Venus, Erin Venus and Emery Venus and sister, Jean (Earl) Rosenberger. In addition to her parents, Lenna was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Raitz and son, Mark Raitz.

The family will receive guests Monday, September 17, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Trilby United Methodist, 5918 Secor Road Toledo. Memorial Services will begin Monday at 12:00 p.m. at Trilby United Methodist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trilby United Methodist Church or Bandera County Young Life, P.O. Box 2326 Bandera, TX 78003, which is a non-profit organization of which her grandson, Jacob is the area director, in Lenna's memory.
