Elizabeth A. “Betty” Susdorf, age 90, of Findlay, formerly of Toledo, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 2, 2018 at her home surrounded by loving family. She was born on May 31, 1928 to John and Leafy (Lutz) Miller in Toledo. Betty was employed for over 20 years with LaSalle’s Department Store in Downtown Toledo in cosmetics. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, and fishing. Betty loved animals especially dogs. She was very devoted to her family, and loved nothing more than spending time with them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Susdorf; siblings, John Miller, Natalie Hamilton, Mary Alice Stewart and Lois Fleck; and granddaughter, Charity Powell. Betty is survived by her loving children, Richard (Jane) Susdorf, John Susdorf, Joseph (Charoline) Susdorf, Diane (Larry) St. John and Tom (Tim Powell) Susdorf; grandchildren, Marcey (John), Kurt (Nicole), Christi (Chad), Joseph, Vincent, Kimberly (Leonard), Stephen (Kate), Nicholas, Catrina, Angie, Mike (Trisha) and Jennifer; 10 great-grandchildren; her furry grandchildren, Lily, Molly and Hazel; and many other family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 2 - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer –Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. in the evening. A Prayer Service will begin Friday, September 7, 2018 at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Piux X, 2950 Ilger Ave., Toledo, OH 43606. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Mary Champion for all of her love, care, and compassion given to Betty and her family throughout this difficult time and to Bridge Hospice.
