Kathleen L. "Kathy" Kosik, age 66, of Toledo, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Ebeid Hospice. She was born on June 20, 1952 in Youngstown, Ohio to Joseph and Thelma (Finger) Kosik. Kathy was a graduate of North Lima High School, Class 1970, she graduated from the University of Toledo with her undergraduate degree in 1991 and later her Master's in Classroom Technology for grades K - 8 in 2002 from B.G.S.U. She taught for the Toledo Diocese 1991 - 2000 and retired from Toledo Public Schools in 2014. Kathy loved cooking, baking, watching sports and rooted for her beloved Cleveland Brown's, Indians, Cavaliers and O.S.U. - go buckeyes! She also enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her neighbors. Family was everything to Kathy, she was devoted to them and loved each and every one of them. She will be greatly missed by them all.

Left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Steve (Donna) Kosik and Tina (Gerry) Afonica; sisters-in-law, Margie and Sharon; nieces and nephews, Sharron, Lynn, Sarah, Monica, Maria, Annamarie, Ryan, Nino, Theresa, Allyson and Jeff; many precious great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; canine companion, Brutus. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Allan and Mike and niece, LeeAnn.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 4-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). The family will also receive guests on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 2-8:00 p.m. with Funeral Services beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Following Services the family will continue to gather with guests until 8:00 p.m.
