Sarah Jane Draeger, infectiously known as Granny, age 89, of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, peacefully at Ebeid Hospice. She was born on March 30, 1929 to Harry and Margaret (Bockway) McCrum in Toledo. She married the love of her life, Donald Carl Draeger, on May 13, 1955. Sarah and Don loved to travel coast to coast with their children. A destination favorite was Lake Leelanau, MI with the family boat and the company of Don's childhood friend, the late Fred Foreman and Sarah's Ethel to her Lucy, his wife Betty.

Sarah was a giver who never thought about how much she had, but about what she had to share. She loved gardening, sewing and decorating, but most of all she loved her family. She persevered through the difficult loss of her husband in 1981. Sarah was loved, is missed and will always be cherished by her five children; Cindy (Dean) Streeter, Kenny, Margaret (Dave) Borysiak, Kathleen (Tom) Ceipichal and David (Marcia) Draeger; her grandchildren, Matt, Justin, Sarah, Nick, Meghan, Mark, Karen, Brian, Ally, Ashley and Zachary; eleven great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Charlotte (Don) McCrum; "adopted" daughter, Jolie Anderson; neighbors, Bill Muckinhaupt and his late wife, Peg, whom Sarah considered and loved as family.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Janie, Claude, Frank, Sidney and Jack Richards; Helen, Harry and Don McCrum.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 3-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Friends are invited to join the family on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Toledo Memorial Park for Sarah's Graveside Service. Please meet the family at the front gates of the cemetery by 9:45 a.m. Interment will follow services.
