Debra Whittington, age 61, passed away on August 9, 2018. She was born on August 18, 1956 to the late Catherine and Peter Bedegarea in Toledo, Ohio.

Debra worked at Chrysler Jeep for over 20 years. Her family was the most important thing to her and she loved spending time with them. They will miss her beautiful smile and compassionate personality.

Debra is survived by her husband, Anthony Whittington; children, Holly and Mark Wood; step-children, Anthony (Dawn) Allen, Tarina Allen, Eddie Allen, Winter Starks and Spring Starks; sisters, Cathy (Charlie) Demoe, Pamela (David) Strezinski, Christy Henke; brother, Roger (Sondra) Bedegarea; grandchildren, Joseph Demoe, Jacob Williams and Mark Wood Jr.; sisters-in-law, Gwen Allen, Jackie (Mark) Rome, Debbie (James) Richardson, Cheryl Whittington and Nina Whittington; brothers-in-law, Amory (Vickie) Whittington, Kerry (Bridget) Whittington, Fred (Stephanie) Whittington and a host of other family members. She was preceded in death by her brother, Peter Bedegarea Jr.; sister, Vera Vargas; brothers-in-law, Emory and Leon Whittington.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Springfield Twp. Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist with the funeral expenses.
