1921 - 2018

Betty Moharter, age 96, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Monday, August 13, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg surrounded by loving family. She was born November 19, 1921 to Charles and Dale (Apger) Dickson in Toledo. Betty was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School. She retired from PNC Bank after many years. Betty enjoyed traveling, gardening, and sewing; she made costumes for re-enactors. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Moharter; brother, Charles Dickson; sister, Elaine Anderson; daughter-in-law, Beverly Moharter; and nephew, Bruce Dickson. Betty is survived by her loving children, Jon Moharter (fiancé Lisa) and Laurie (Mike) Dyer; grandchildren, Brian (Amy), Grant (Amanda), Sean (Tiffany), James (Robin), and Patrick; many great-grandchildren; niece and nephews, Carolyn Willey, Joel (Jan) Anderson and Ken (Bonnie) Dickson.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate Betty’s life will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Point Place United Church of Christ, 4920 297th St., Toledo OH 43611. Newcomer- West Sylvania Chapel (419-392-9500) assisted the family with professional services.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions in honor of Betty are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Conn-Weissenberger American Legion 587 Memorial Fund.
