Jack E. Lietzke, age 82, of Toledo, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 21, 1936 to Ellis and Madelon (Miller) Lietzke in Temperance, Michigan. Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a mechanical engineer throughout his life, retiring at the age of 80. Jack was a member of Devils Lake Yacht Club, Kiwanis Club in Adrian and the Toledo Rotary Club. He was a car enthusiast, his most favorite being his Prowler, “Jaks Kat”. Jack enjoyed bowling, fishing, boating, golfing and bird watching. He loved nothing more than being with his family and grandchildren. Jack will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Lietzke; sister, Carol Ball; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Grace Watson. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joyce Lietzke; children, Jeff Lietzke, Pam (Mike) Schlegel and Jennifer (Dan) Watson; grandchildren, Jessica, James, Mia, Zack and Joshua; and many other family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer – West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd., Toledo 43617 (419-392-9500). Memorial Services will begin Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
