Norman Larimore
1930 - 2018

Norman Dale Larimore was born March 5, 1930 in Allister, West Virginia to Joe and Jessie Larimore. He passed away at home on July 9, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Dad grew up on a farm with his six siblings. He was drafted to the Korean War and honorably served our country as a heavy equipment operator and an MP. Dad and Mom married on July 28, 1961 in New Martinsville, WV. That same year relocating to Toledo, Ohio. Dad was a truck driver for Nazar Rubber Co. (Toledo) from 1972-2001. He did not retire until the age of 70. He instilled a strong work ethic in his children. Mom and Dad relocated to Fort Wayne, IN in 2014.

Left behind to cherish our amazing memories of him – his wife of 56 years, Sondra Larimore; children, Gary (Tracy) Larimore, Lisa (Mike) Collins, Ellen (Tom) Millirons and Cara (Troy) Momany; as well as 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and only remaining siblings Jerry Dale (Phyllis) Larimore. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rita Larimore in 2013 and his grandson, Butch Harris in 2002.

As his children, we are honored to have had him as our Dad. Thank you Heartland of Hospice of Fort Wayne and Machelle Thomas for your excellent care.
