Mike was a proud veteran serving for 21 years in the Coast Guard and Army. He was a current member of the American Legion Post 553-Adams. He loved fishing in Lake Erie, golfing and eating ice cream. Mike and his wife enjoyed spending winters in Florida. He adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva; his parents; sisters, Naomi and Kate; brothers, Frank, Steve, Dick and step-grandson, Luke. He is survived by his children, Tim (Stephanie), Bo (Lisa) and Abby (John) Sutherland; brother, Pat (Paula); grandchildren, Jeni, Joshua, Brook, Trevor, Chelsea; great-grandchildren, Gavin and Jaxon.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Burial will take place at Springfield Twp. Cemetery.
