Betty Marie Jirinec, age 94, of Maumee, OH passed away May 11, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born April 29, 1924 in Toledo to Harry Davis and Bessie Long. Betty was employed with the Toledo Federation of Teachers. Betty was a very strong and active person who enjoyed music, animals and shopping. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Fan and Betty Boop Collector. Most importantly, Betty enjoyed every moment with her family.

Betty is survived by her son, Michael (Kathleen) Jirinec; grandchildren, Melissa (Jason) Harris and Benjamin Jirinec; great-grandsons, Isaiah and Nicholas Harris; special nephew, Darrell (Betty) Klatt and nieces, Pamela Price and Lori Millard. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Jirinec and half-brother, Eugene Klatt.

The family will receive guests, Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 5:00 pm in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Life Connections or Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Betty's memory.
