Betty had strong faith and was a long-time member of Braden United Methodist Church. She loved her dogs, gardening and home improvement projects. Betty worked at Fleeger’s Hardware and was the owner of Corky’s Cone and Gourmet Sub Shop. She had a strong work ethic that she passed on to her granddaughters. Her family will miss her giving nature and sass.
Left to cherish her memory are her granddaughters, Stephanie Tubbs, Nicole Meyer (Dustin Grimm), Danielle (Matthew) Jackson, Dara Meyer (DeWayne Hafner); great-grandchildren, Aloysius, Augustus, Violet, Charlotte, Bella, Amaya, Tyson, Daisie and one on the way; sister-in-law, Midge Meyer; Charlie Murphy and many other special relatives. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; son, Richard Jr. and sister, Eleanor Maier.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Braden United Methodist Church, 4725 Dorr St. Family and friends may visit from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will take place at Toledo Memorial Park
