Bruce Douglas MacDonald, age 72, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away April 9, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 17, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio to Gordon and Marcella (Burns) MacDonald. Bruce served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was employed as the Director of Sales with Reynolds and Reynolds for more than 24 years retiring, September 23, 2003.

Bruce’s greatest love was his family, they were his whole life. He also was a Past Commodore of the Maumee River Yacht Club in 2017.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Jean MacDonald; son, Tom (Donna) MacDonald; daughter, Heather MacDonald; grandchildren, Spencer MacDonald and James MacDonald; sister, Beth Haas; mother-in-law, Florence Kelsey and brother-in-law, Terry (Brenda) Kelsey. In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy MacDonald

The family will receive guests Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo (419-381-1900), where the Commodores from the AYC will hold a service at 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will begin Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10:00 am at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Bruce's memory.
