In Memory Of
Michael J. "Mike" Toska
1954 - 2018
Michael J. “Mike” Toska, age 63, formerly of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in Lakeland, Florida where he had lived for the past several years. He was born on November 6, 1954 to Thomas and Mary Lou (Vanderhorst) Toska in Toledo.
Following high school he graduated from the University of Toledo with an Associates Degree in Accounting. For most of his life he worked as an accountant, retiring from All Spray after 5 years of service. Mike was an avid sports enthusiast; the teams that he rooted for (sometimes shamelessly) were the Detroit Red Wings, Miami Dolphins and the N.Y. Yankees. When he wasn’t working his passion was spending time with his son, Kyle and coaching baseball. He spent endless summers on the baseball diamond coaching his son’s youth baseball team in Toledo.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Kyle (Kristian) Toska, precious granddaughter Harper, who affectionately knew him as her "Gator Gramps," his mother Mary Lou Toska, and his brother Gary Toska. He was preceded in death by his father.
At Mikes’s request, all services were private for his family; in his memory, cheer for the Dolphin’s – they need all the encouragement they can get!
