In Memory Of
Richard L. "Buckeye Rick" McGee
1948 - 2018

Richard L. McGee, age 69, of Point Place went to be with Jesus on Saturday evening, January 6, 2018. He was born on August 3, 1948 to Richard C. and Naomia (Ireland) McGee in Toledo. Rick retired from Toledo Public Schools. He married his loving wife, Marlene (Dobrolenski) McGee on May 27, 1978. Rick enjoyed gardening, riding his bike to Cullen Park to see all of his buddies. He also carried dog bones in his pockets to feed all of his furry friends. Rick loved animals and a good game of football. His favorite team was The Ohio State Buckeye's. Everyone that knew Rick called him, "Buckeye Rick." He also loved to play bingo with his loving sister, Penny; which he referred to her as his, "Lucky Penny."

Richard was a very loving, kind and generous person and touched the lives of many through his love for Jesus. For many years he attended services at Bono Baptist Church. Richard will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Richard took his last breath here on earth in the arms of his loving wife, Marlene and family members near by.
