1937 - 2017

Ray Hunt, Sr., age 80, of Toledo, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Ebeid Hospice on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. He was born on October 29, 1937 to Byron and Bertha Hunt in Muncie, IN. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Ray retired from Chrysler Jeep Corp. after 32 years of service. Above everything, time spent with his family and time dedicated to the church was most important to him.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 55 years, Shirley (Mowery) Hunt; children, Belinda (John) Roberts, Ray Hunt, Jr. and LeighAnn (Don) Dutridge; grandchildren, Nikki, Mandy, Miranda and Ashli; great-granddaughter, Tenley and brother, Charles Hunt. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Fern Knight and brother, Byron Lee Hunt.

The family will receive guests Friday, December 8, 2017 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Northpoint Church of The Nazarene, 5825 Suder Ave. Funeral Services will begin in the church on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. where the family will receive guests from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service with Rev. Donna Ebanks and Pastor Andy Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

In memory of Ray, memorial contributions may be made to N.W.O. Alzheimer's Assoc. or to ProMedica Ebeid Hospice.
