John Edward Riehle, graduated from Scott High School in 1950 and joined the U.S. Navy, Honorably discharged in 1954. He worked at Auto Lite before he joined the Navy and later worked there for a short time after getting out of the military. John enrolled at the University of Toledo, receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in 1961. He worked at AP Parts and became Director of Traffic, later retiring in 1994, after which he and his wife enjoyed traveling.

John was an avid fisherman, hunter and was a lifetime member of Mudjaw Bowmen, The Toledo Transportation Club and was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. He brought many good things to eat from his hunting and fishing endeavors.

He is survived by his loving spouse of 57 years, Jacqueline; sons, Edward (Barb), Gary (Judy) and Eric; grandchildren, Gabriel and Mathias; sister, Elaine (Joe); and a few cousins.

Memorial Services for John will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church, 4727 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, Ohio 43623. The Newcomer Funeral Home (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.

Offerings would be gratefully accepted at St. James Lutheran Church.
