Osman “Osie” Bucklin, 63, passed away on August 25, 2013. He was born on February 7, 1950 to the late Gwendolyn and Marvin Bucklin in Toledo, Ohio.

Osie retired from Toledo Public Schools in 2006 after 30 years of service. His passion in life was playing the drums. Osie played with many different bands over the last 49 years. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially camping and gardening.

Left to cherish Osie’s memory is his loving wife of 30 years, Margaret “Peggy”; children, Robert (Kristi) Filipovich, William (Dawn) Filipovich, Violet (James) Bohn and Rose Himbaugh; sisters, Rhonda (Steve) Hornyak and Patricia “Patty” Ferguson (Paul Steele); 8 grandchildren and close friend, Mike Becker.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday in the funeral home. Interment at Restlawn Memorial Park.
