H. Joseph “Joe” Dacey, Jr., age 62, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 13, 1950 to Harry Sr. and Eleanor (Sczublewski) Dacey in Toledo. Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving his country proudly in the Vietnam War. He was employed with Food Town Grocery Stores for 33 years. Joe was one of a kind and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father. Joe is survived by his loving daughter, Teresa (Adam) Alexander; grandchildren, Madelyn and Joseph; mother, Eleanor Dacey; siblings, Kathie (Dick) Heerdegen, Mary Lou (Rick) Siebenaller, Paul Dacey and Judy (Jim) Loeffler; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 4227 Bellevue Rd., Toledo, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery.
