Mr. Richard “Tabalee” Spears was born June 30, 1940 in Corinth, Mississippi to Het and Essie Spears; he was one of fourteen children. Richard retired from Doehler Jarvis. Those who knew him well, he was commonly known as “shorty” and was willing to help any and everybody that he could.

Mr. Richard Spears leaves to mourn, his wife, Annie Lois Spears; children, Debra, Phyllis, Donald and Ronald Spears; 5 grandchildren, Anton, Shonte, Charvela, David Jr. and Shanika; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Harry (Pat) and Willie B. Spears, of Maryland; sisters-in-law, Pattie Prather, of Toledo and Norma Cox, of Battle Creek, MI; special sisters, Edna and Jamie Wooden; special friends, Albert (Ola) and James Shuler; and a host of family and friend. You will be greatly missed.
Mr. Spears was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Mae Dell, Fannie and Shirley; 7 brothers, George, Leoudus, Isiah, Frankie Lee, James, Terry and Jimmy.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 1 – 3:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Steven C. Valles.
