William H. "Bill" Cole
1938 - 2015

William H. “Bill” Cole, age 77, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Ebeid Hospice Residence after sustaining a brain injury from a fall at his home. He was born on February 6, 1938 to Harold and Marjorie (Lemming) Cole in Lambertville, MI. He served in the U.S. Airforce for several years. Bill met the love of his life Kathleen Stough in 1957 and married her in 1958. He was a carpenter by trade working for Turner Brooks and Ohio Ceiling and Partition. Bill retired at the age of 50. He enjoyed building and racing cars for many years. Bill was an avid body builder, even winning several local competitions. He loved his Rumble Bee Dodge truck and his 1964 Plymouth Sports Fury. Bill loved spending time at the family lake house at Lake Seneca for the past 8 years. Even owning and riding his jet-ski. Bill was a loving father, grandfather and friend to many.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Kathleen Cole; father and mother-in-law, Russell and Virginia Stough; and brothers-in-law, Ronald and Russell Stough. Bill is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Mike) Monnett; son, Scott (Sandy) Cole; grandchildren, Heather and Jacob; brothers, Robert and Richard (Cathy) Cole; sister-in-law, Sarah (Rick) Berndt; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. A Prayer Service will begin Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church, 3030 Tremainsville Rd., Toledo. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider ProMedica Hospice.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the ICU Neuro Nurses and Trauma Team at the Toledo Hospital, and the nurses and doctors at Ebeid Hospice Residence for all of their tender loving care given to Bill and his family through his illness.
