Martin G. “Marty” Esper, age 64, of Toledo, passed away June 25, 2015 at Merit House. He was born August 14, 1950 to Gabriel and Ruth (Saunders) Esper in Toledo. Marty worked all his life in the paving industry. He served in many capacities at Toledo Paving and Jim Bain and Sons Paving Contractors. Marty enjoyed fishing, having a beer, country music, playing the lottery and time spent with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jamie and Eddie Esper. Marty is survived by his daughter, Jackie (Jeff) Young; brothers, Charlie (Kathleen), John (Jane), Larry and Steve (Nancy) Esper; sister, Rita (George) Abi-Zeid; and many nieces and nephews including Tina Yates, who was like a daughter to Marty.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 2 – 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the family.
