1938 - 2015

Harold D. Bruce, Sr., age 76, went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2015 at his home in Orange City, Florida.

Harold was a proud Veteran and served in both the U.S. Marines and the Army. He retired from GM Powertrain after 30 years of service. Harold was instrumental in developing their chaplaincy program as well as other programs in other industrial companies in Toledo. He was Cub Master from 1971-72 with the local Boy Scouts of America. Harold served as Pastor and founder of Monclova Pentecostal Church and Camp Harvest. He retired from East Side Full Gospel. Harold had also been the Adult Sunday School Teacher for six years at his current church, Calvary Full Gospel in De Leon Springs in Florida.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 56 years, Rebecca; children, Casandra (Jeff) Cox, Brenda (Todd) Schoeder, Rhonda Bruce, Harold (Susan) Bruce Jr. and Julia (Paul) Overmann; sister, Doris Caril; 21 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Harold was preceded in death by his parents and two grandsons, Michael Bruce and Douglas Tutak.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday morning. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens.
